Florida native, Navy pilot took part in Super Bowl national anthem flyover (Champion '20)

Milton, FL, native Lt. Caleb Champion of the U.S. Navy took part in a unified flyover during the 2026 Super Bowl national anthem performance.

The Super Bowl -- played this past Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California -- featured the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.

Members of four U.S. Navy tactical squadrons conducted the flyover with members of the Air Force.

The eight-aircraft flyover formation included:

F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets and F-35C Lightning IIs from Naval Air Station Lemoore in California
F-15C Eagles from Fresno Air National Guard Base in California
B-1B Lancers from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota

Champion serves as a pilot assigned to VFA-97.
