
How Firestone Walker went from a vineyard shed to a global craft beer brand (Firestone '11)

Firestone Walker, the San Luis Obispo County brewery that started in the shed of a Santa Ynez vineyard, has grown from modest roots into a juggernaut that, after three decades, has firmly established its name in the craft beer world. This year, it’s celebrating its 30th anniversary, kicked off by a period of new expansion, as it continues to acquire labels, add new beers and widen its already impressive national reach and international reputation.
The brewery, which is the latest chapter in the century-plus Firestone family dynasty, has grown into a major operation in Paso Robles, expanding in the location that was the former brewhouse for SLO Brewing Company.
