
Cornell '01 assumes the duties as U.S. Naval Academy Commandant of Midshipmen

CAPT Clinton A. Cornell '01, USN, assumed the duties as USNA Commandant of Midshipmen from CAPT Austin Jackson '99, USN, in a ceremony held 22 June in Dahlgren Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy. Cornell was announced as the next Commandant in late April. A native of Dickson City, PA, he is a USNA Class of 2001 graduate, currently serving as Commander, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group ONE in San Diego, Calif. Cornell is married to CAPT Jodie Cornell, USN, an active duty Navy Public Affairs Officer. USNA Superintendent LtGen Mike Borgschulte '91, USMC, presided over the ceremony. He thanked Jackson and his family for their service to USNA and officially welcomed the Cornells to the Yard.
