On Sept. 11, 2026, Brig. Gen. Matthew T. Good, commanding general of Training Command, delivered remarks at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The remarks were delivered during the Marine Corps History Division’s official launch of Legacy of 9/11: The U.S. Marine Corps and the Terror Attacks of September 2001. The commemorative program brought together Marines and guests to reflect on the attacks, honor those who lost their lives, and consider the enduring impact of Sept. 11 on the Marine Corps and the generations of Marines who answered the Nation’s call in the years that followed. The event also included reflections from Marines featured in the book and a wreath-laying ceremony.
