Chris Nurthen is the songwriter behind SWEETNUR, a Nashville-based project rooted in thebelief that the best songs don't tell us who to be—they remind us we're not alone. Balancing two jobs, raising four kids, pursuing a Music Business degree at Belmont University,and producing his upcoming double album,The Beautiful Struggle, with acclaimed producer Tommy Sims, Chris writes from the middle of ordinary life rather than around it. His songs explore the spaces where love, money, faith, ambition, and the human condition intersect,finding dignity in the everyday and hope in honest reflection. Influenced by storytellers who write about real people with compassion and clarity, SWEETNUR blends soul, folk, and singer-songwriter traditions into music that feels more like fellowship than performance. Alongside recordingThe Beautiful Struggle, Chris is building the SWEETNUR House Show Series throughout Nashville—creating intimate listening-room experiences where songs and stories take center stage.
