New Army agreement fuels opportunities at CBU (Kim '95)

Riverside, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2026) — Earlier this summer, California Baptist University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence at Fort Huachuca in Arizona. This MOU creates opportunities for collaboration in scientific, technical and defense-related innovation.  

The agreement expands a growing network of military partnerships that provide CBU students and faculty with access to internships, research projects and emerging technologies.  

"It's a mutual relationship," said Dr. Mark Kim, associate professor of computer and data sciences. The military makes resources available, such as the newest technology, and CBU can provide experts in areas such as math, science and technology to the Army.
