Two days left to submit your BEAT ARMY button designs

The 2026 Beat Army Button Contest is officially underway, and your design could become part of Navy history! Create an original, family-friendly, three-inch button packed with Navy pride, football tradition and one unmistakable message: BEAT ARMY!
 
The winning design will become the official 2026 Beat Army button, worn at tailgates and watch parties, and featured across USNA Alumni Association & Foundation digital platforms. The winner can also meet and talk with Sing Second Podcast hosts Chris Servello and John Schofield for an interview on an upcoming podcast! Submit your design by Friday, 16 October, then rally your friends for the public vote.
 
Everyone is encouraged to participate and show off your artistic talent! Even if you aren't the artistic one but know someone who is, be sure to share this with them for their chance to win. Get creative. Make your mark. BEAT ARMY!

On Friday, Navy officially dedicated the Defensive Staff Room in Ricketts Hall in honor of the late Tyler Tidwell. Two of Tidwell's Navy teammates from the Class of 2007, Rob Caldwell and Joe Person, donated $250,000 to name the room after Tidwell.
