Meet the Alum - Matt Willmann '10
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Matt is a 2010 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) and served as a Submarine Officer and Program Manager in the Intelligence Community (IC). After 8 years of active duty, he joined QTS Data Centers, an IT company, where he helped establish and grow a wholly owned federal entity focused on the DoD and IC. This entity scaled successfully, and in 2021 QTS was acquired by Blackstone. Following this, Matt transitioned into M&A advisory, assisting business owners in buying and selling companies. In 2023, he identified an opportunity to better connect and engage entrepreneurial Naval Academy alumni, leading to the creation of USNA Entrepreneurs, a nonprofit that has since grown to over 900 members. In addition to running USNA Entrepreneurs, Matt operates his own M&A advisory firm, Beechcrest Advisors. He lives in Alexandria, VA, with his amazing wife and their two young boys. Matt will be featured on the Sing Second podcast next week, and he is the driving force behindwww.usnaentrepreneurs.com.
