Ott: 'the Navy will offer you a gold ring (David Ott '81)

U.S. Navy Captain David Ott (retired), who was in the Navy for 31 years, comes from a long line of Americans who've served their nation.
Ott, a seven-year Cleveland resident, spoke during the Cleveland Civitan Club's Veterans Day luncheon last week, where he and other area veterans were honored for their service.
Ott, who graduated with a degree in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1981, attended flight school, later flying Grumman's A-6 Intruder.
His career also included stints at the Pentagon and later graduating from the U.S. Naval War College, later serving as commander at the Joint Warfare Analysis Center.
