Published on October 26, 2023

Lieutenant Colonel Floyd D. Houston, USMC (Ret.) ‘77 was inducted into the Kentucky Veteran’s Hall of Fame in September. Inductees were chosen for their post-military community service. Houston has commanded VFW posts in Virginia and Kentucky and volunteers as a school resource officer.

His career has also included serving in Somalia, helping create a multi-million dollar Rewards For Justice reward on the now late 1983 Beirut barracks Bomber, Imad Mughniyah, and the writing a book about his VFW Post in Virginia: PILLARS OF THE POST (88 veteran biographies with profits assigned to a local veterans scholarship).

Bravo Zulu!
